Taking on an apprentice is one of the most effective investments a business can make in its people. The process of actually doing it, however, can feel more complicated than it needs to be. Funding eligibility, programme selection, recruitment, paperwork. It is enough to put a lot of employers off before they have even started.
At Educationwise, we have designed our enrolment process to be as straightforward as possible. It starts with a conversation. You can fill in the enquiry form on our website or contact our team directly and we will get back to you promptly to talk through what you are looking for. There are no complicated forms at this stage and no commitment required. Just a straightforward discussion about your business, the role you have in mind and what you want to achieve through the apprenticeship.
Once we have a clear picture of what you need, we will recommend the programme that is the best fit. We deliver apprenticeships across a range of sectors including sport and leisure, education and training, business and management and health and fitness. Our team will walk you through the options and make sure you are confident in the direction before anything is confirmed.
Funding is often the part that feels most daunting and it does not need to be. If you are a levy paying employer, your existing levy funds can be used to cover the cost of the programme. If you are a non-levy paying employer, government co-investment funding may be available to cover the majority of the training costs. Our team will explain exactly what is available to your business so there are no surprises further down the line.
If you already have someone in mind for the apprenticeship, brilliant. If you do not, that is not a problem. Educationwise offers a free recruitment service for employers who need support finding the right candidate. We advertise the vacancy, manage the applications and shortlist the strongest candidates on your behalf so that your time goes into meeting the right people rather than finding them.
Once the candidate is confirmed and the funding is in place, we take care of the enrolment and get everything set up for a smooth start. Your apprentice will be assigned an experienced industry specialist tutor who will support them throughout the programme with regular progress reviews, one to one sessions and structured off the job training. You will also have a dedicated point of contact at Educationwise so you always know who to reach out to if anything comes up.
Our support does not stop once the paperwork is signed. We stay with you and your apprentice for the entire duration of the programme. Progress reviews keep you updated, any challenges are picked up early and your apprentice is prepared thoroughly for their End Point Assessment well in advance. As an Ofsted Outstanding and award winning training provider, the quality of that ongoing support is something we take seriously at every stage.
Taking on an apprentice with Educationwise is designed to be straightforward from the very first conversation. If you are ready to get started or just want to find out a bit more, get in touch with our team and we will take it from there.
