Playworkers operate in various settings, including adventure playgrounds, schools, hospitals, and community centres, creating inclusive environments where children can explore, experiment, and express themselves freely.

In their daily role, Playworkers observe and respond to the individual needs and interests of each child, ensuring that play spaces are safe yet stimulating. They provide a range of resources and activities that encourage creativity, social interaction, and physical activity, while allowing children to take acceptable risks as part of their growth.
