Qualifications:
LEVEL 4 in Sports Coaching
LEVEL 2 in Maths & English (This requirement only applies if the learner does not already hold these qualifications.)

Job role
To assist with the planning, delivery and evaluation of a variety of age-appropriate sport and physical activity coaching sessions to meet the needs of groups and individual.
To work in diverse settings, such as community settings, youth clubs, leisure centres, green spaces and schools.
To undertake administrative tasks related to the sessions that you are responsible for including updating registers and consent forms.
To work with individuals and/or groups from a range of backgrounds, abilities, and age ranges
To build and support positive working partnerships with existing/new key partners
To maintain high standards of professional behaviour towards colleagues, young people, and adults with whom we engage and the wider public when working for and wearing Barnsley FC Community Trust uniform.
To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of, and adhere to, Trust policies and procedures.
To work as a team, effectively supervising, mentoring, and directing volunteers where appropriate.
To undertake relevant training courses as requested by the Trust and or Line Manager.
To positively promote the Trust and partners at all times to ensure growth and expansion.
To develop your personal knowledge for the benefit of both yourself and the Trust.
To generally assist in any tasks as directed by your designated line manager.
CAREER PROGRESSION
The right candidate could move into any number of roles after completing their apprenticeship, including: Community Coach, Programme Officers, Media, Admin, Education tutor, Wider Coaching Team.

A Level or equivalent in English (Desirable but not essential)

Full driving license and have access to a vehicle
Able to work flexible as normal working hours may include evening and weekend work
Enthusiastic and self-motivated
As the post involves working with children and young people the post holder will be subject to an enhanced DBS Check
